Former Wildcat Brendan Sullivan wants to transfer from Iowa now.
I definitely understand NFL prospects moving around.
I also understand if you have a coaching(head or position) change.
I understand moving to a campus nearer home so your family can see you play.
For all others I just don’t understand why you would uproot yourself and deal with the hassle of changing schools. For me each year leaving for summer break or coming back in the fall was painful and a lot of work.
I am surprised there isn’t more career related moves for example if you wanted to be finance maybe you’d transfer to Rutgers to be closer to NYC or if your current school was far from a big city you might transfer to Northwestern, Michigan, Ohio State, etc. for additional job opportunities.
A friend considered transferring academically to University of Hawaii just so they could live there. If you are a lifelong Iowa kid and want to eventually live on the beach Coral Gables sounds like a good campus.
The other option to consider is NIL money these days.
Don’t understand the whole dynamic of Sullivan moving from NU when he was going to have to be in the mix as a potential starter in 2024. And if he wasn’t good enough to be one of the top 3, why would another B1G school, with their stable of QB’s want to bring him in to shuffle the cards.
As it turned out, he wasn’t Ioway’s answer either, so now he’s moving on down the road, or at lest fielding phone calls from other coaches, probably looking for a primary backup to a young future star.
I don’t think Braun would be interested, altho NU is still trying to figure out who is the #1 next year. Back when they had a Spring game, you could figure out who was in line to be the “guy” but I’m too far away to go watch practices.

I’m guessing Brendan’s family is probably upper middle class and he can’t be claiming much money.
Spring Practice is this coming Saturday, although we won’t attend as we have a conflict. Obviously if someone from the list attends we can get updates for who seems the likely QB1.
