Not much about the basketball season yet. I caught the last third or so of the DePaul game, a win but not really a great one.
Still working getting everything going again.
Thank you for all your efforts we appreciate it.
Does anybody on the list religiously watch/listen to most of the basketball games?
Even when we had season tickets so the majority games were in-person we probably only caught 20% of the away games in partial(not tip to final buzzer).
With football unless I’m at an event I’m listening/watching. Even at the event we are monitoring the gamecast.
I try to watch a lot of them, but I’ve been busy with a work project for the last several months (it went live two weeks ago so we’re still in triage mode) but I’ve only caught part of one game so far. I tend to get more interested in basketball as the football season winds down.
We have season tickets for Bball, although we haven’t been able to go, so far, this year. I watch every game.
This year’s team looks like it has a lot of potential. How far they go will depend on how well they gel, given there are a lot of new faces, and on how quickly some of the first or second year players grow into bigger roles, imo.

On a related note, it was fun to see Brooks Barnhizer get some court time during the waning moments of the OKC blowout of the GS Warriors. The announcers complimented his hard nosed style of play. They also mentioned how unusual it was to have two NU grads on the floor at the same time in an NBA game (Barnhizer for OKC and Pat Spencer for the Warriors).
Spencer is also known for his physical style of play.
So maybe Northwestern, of all places, is gaining a reputation for producing players who make it in the NBA with their toughness.
For those who missed it from last year, here’s a clip of Pat Spencer headbutting Alperen Sengun of the Rockets.

“haven’t been able to go, so far, this year”
This is why we dropped season tickets as it was a struggle to make the games and we had trouble giving the tickets away to neutral or Northwestern fans, but had no problem selling them to opposing fans, which we would never do.
Is the stadium construction affecting parking for basketball?
