It does make Phillips look bad as he agreed to the playoff change that locked one of the Power 4 out of the playoffs.
I wouldn’t count dOSU out of the National Race - and if Indy keeps playing the way it has, we could see the rematch in a month. Big question is how far does dOSU fall in the seeding?
Duke also looked good, but let VA back in the game at the end. Pretty sure Duke and VA going bowling, just not any BIG ones.
Now, will the committee bend to the wishes of the Evil Empire the Oirish) and let them into the big show, or will they bring back Miami?
And what other tricks do they have up their sleeves?

Georgia claims the #2 spot, but putting tOSU lower than #3 is a travesty. Given the fact Georgia’s loss was at home to possibly not a playoff team isn’t as good as a neutral field 3 point loss to the #1 team in the nation.
No way Texas Tech should be above #4.
It will be interesting to see who has the most pull ND or Alabama. To get Miami in and not have the ACC shut out completely they have to exclude one of them as 2 group of 5s are getting in. Arguments can be made for dropping Oklahoma or Ole Miss over Alabama as they didn’t even qualify for their title game.
Notre Dame got left out of the playoffs and the team has voted not to go to a bowl game.
