Georgia players being fined by NIL cooperative

Several Georgia players were recently cited for speeding and reckless driving. They are being fined by the Georgia NIL cooperative, thus further blurring the line between the athletic department/football team and a school’s NIL environment.

But this is the “no rule we can’t pervert” SEC, so we probably shouldn’t be surprised.

Maybe the NIL Contract that the players have with the cooperative provides penalties for bad behavior? Something like the clause that’s in most player contracts, and those of other public figures.

Remember Fatty Arbuckle, who never recovered from being accused of moral turpitude.
