Incoming MBB Recruit in Indiana State Championship

Indiana HS Basketball championship games are Saturday, with the 4A game scheduled for 8:15pm EDT. NU recruit KJ Windham leads Ben Davis HS (Wayne Twp, Indianapolis) against my kids’ alma mater Fishers HS. Some other interesting tidbits:

-Both teams’ leading scorers (Windham for Ben Davis) average 15 ppg with well-rounded supporting casts. Every starter averages at least 6.5ppg.

-Both teams have a key player who is a junior two-sport athlete who will play football in college, Mark Zackery IV for Ben Davis (DB, considering Cincinnati, Florida, Michigan and Notre Dame) and JonAnthony Hall for Fishers (WR with offers from lots of B1G and MAC teams, including NU)

-Fishers also has another player with serious pedigree, Jason Gardner, Jr, a freshman who is the son of an Indiana Mr. Basketball and Arizona player.

KJ Windham and Ben Davis couldn’t repeat as Indiana state champs. Unfortunately, he had an off night in his final high school game that isn’t an all-star game, going 4-15 from the floor, including 0-4 from 3. But still looking forward to seeing him in purple in November!
