Not the start we needed

A pick leads to a quickTulane score.

3 first half picks and only down by 17, I guess I’m relieved. :sigh:

Disappointing effort all around - the O line and run game looked better in spells but we never stuck with it enough and the passing game was abysmal. On defense, they looked worn out, which makes sense given how they’ve been on the field 90% of the game. That last long run for six before half was a back breaker.

Not much you can do except move on and get better. Lots of room for improvement.

GO CATS!!!

The old rule was that you improve the most between your first & second games.

I’m sure Texas feels the same way we do right now…

As does Boise State and Alabama. And still two more top 10 matchups this week, the strongest opening weekend ever.

Just watched UMich escape from New Mexico - UMich had the game in hand, but they let New Mexico hang around.

There were matchups between top 10 preseason teams this week, and all three resulted in a win for the lesser ranked team. Preseason ratings aren’t very reliable.
