Former USC star Reggie Bush is filing a defamation suit against the NCAA, apparently over a 2021 NCAA statement on the prospects of the NCAA restoring Bush’s 2005 season records, making him eligible to get his Heisman Trophy back.
This strikes me as a lawsuit where the NCAA might be willing to go to court, to get Bush to testify under oath.
Yeah, I doubt USC wants to revisit this issue, even if there are those who will claim that what USC reportedly did is no worse than what numerous other schools were doing, and others who will note that what they reportedly did is now more or less legal.
