Welcome to the new Northwestern Sports List.
There are currently three active categories and two archival read-only categories.
Posts should be relevant to the Wildcats or Northwestern University, including posts about other current, former or future conference teams and past, current or future Wildcat opponents.
The categories you can post to are:
Northwestern Football - for football-related posts
Northwestern Basketball - for basketball-related posts
Northwestern Sports - for posts about other sports or topics
Posts made to the List between April 1, 2023, and the cut-over date will be placed in the Northwestern Sports category, though I may move some around to help populate the other active categories.
There are two archive categories:
Northwestern Archives is the archive of posts made to the old email-based Northwestern Sports List between January 2023 and the end of March 2023. These posts are read-only. I may, from time to time, move posts from the three active categories to the archives. If so, this is likely to happen only a few times each year.
Northwestern History is the archive of nearly 50,000 posts made to the Northwestern Sports List between 2004 and 2022. This is a separate group (Northwestern Historian) and if you want access to these posts you will need to join that group using the ‘groups’ tab in your left-hand sidebar. (You might have to click on ‘More’ first.) These posts are read-only.
Replies by email should work, providing you use the same email address that is in your user record.
Starting new topics by email should also work, but you need to use the specific email address for the category you want to post to. This information can be found in the ‘Member Information’ category, and is only available once you achieve regular member status.
