The NU offense seems to decided it’s nap time after the 2 point PAT.
Reading the Trib story on the game, it appears the offensive lull in the first half may have been some overly aggressive play-calling and playmaking, both by the OC and by the QB. The late TD was scored when the defense had a lot of reserves in.
The good news is that there were no INTs last night. The bad news is Cam Porter left with a lower body injury, the extent of which is still unknown but Braun was cautiously optimistic.
I”d call it about 3/4 of a complete game, but for the next game (Oregon) the Cats need 4 good quarters.
Based on how Oregon looked I think we can hope they are very sleepy at 9am and still in the PJs.
Beyond that I can’t imagine we can even make it respectable as I would guess the line will be 28+
27.5 points is the early line, good guess. Gonna be a tough game, the defense needs to be a lot sharper and the offense needs to have a really good outing.
